Weld’s servers were down today

Update: The Weld servers are now back up again.

We noticed server downtime at 10:30 CET. Around 11:30 we had embedded content back up. Published websites (domains) came up around 13:30, and the Weld editor itself around 14:10.

I’m terribly sorry for this interruption. The reason was the recently discovered Spectre/Meltdown vulnerabilities. Amazon decided to upgrade their data center with short notice, which affected Weld’s database provider.

We had no time to react on this incident. However, we are learning from this mistake and are building more redundancy into our platform.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Regards,

Tom, CEO
